Graduation May 2010

BCA celebrated its 14th graduating class on June 4, 2010 at the Holy Trinity Baptist Church. We had two valedictorian speakers: Jon Cox and Sarah Mather.


Mrs. Heather Kooiman addressed the graduating class with a special challenge for each one.

Seussical, Jr.

Practice started back in January and the First BCA Musical, Seussical, Jr. was performed on April 24. Hours and hours of practices paid off in an amazing production enjoyed by over 200 people.




The cast and the stage crew!! Everyone gave 110% percent for a perfect performance!

BCA Outdoor School 2010

The 7th and 8th Grade of BCA spent a weekend at Outdoor School! They had 4 days up at Camp Living Water, the Mather's camp, studying God's fabulous creation and thinking about God as creator of all!!



Each morning the students met for an overview of the program and instructions on what would take place during the day!




Friday they did a plot study and looked at a small 1 meter square of a field to find as much life as was there!
Then they worked in teams to record their observations


There were two hikes through the woods as they discussed the ecology of the forest


Saturday afternoon was spent studying the life in the creek

Seussical Jr. is coming to BCA!!!

This spring the students at BCA will be presenting their first ever musical, Seussical Jr., based on characters created by Dr. Seuss. The students have begun memorizing their lines, rehearsing, practicing and singing! Mark your calendars now for the show on Saturday, April 24!!

High School Winter Banquet (Feb. 2010)


18 BCA High-School students gathered at a Korean Restaurant, Dami, for some excellent Korean food and a fun time of playing games and being together!!

Middle School Snow Ball (Feb. 2010)


20 Middle-Schoolers (6th-8th) gathered in the BCA activity room for an evening of games, fun and great food.

The menu included salad, schnitzel, bread, mashed potatoes and ice cream. The meal was prepared by Mrs. Mather, Mrs. Kay & Mrs. Brown and members of student council served as waiters and waitresses!

December Review

December was a month full of many activities at BCA!!

The Choir had their first concert for the BCA community on a beautiful snowy evening!!



Cafe Night was a big success as the secondary students gathered for dinner, games and a time just to be together!



On the last day of classes before Christmas break we had an all school chapel and were challenged to think more deeply about the birth of Christ by Miss Susan White, our school librarian.

On the elementary side of the street the children enjoyed making gingerbread houses and eating the candy as they decorated their houses!

The BCA student Christmas Party hosted at the Graham's house. Lots of Fun, Food and a surprising gift exchange!!
